Given the rising crime rate in the DR and the ineffectual operations of the PN, how many here (ex-pats and natives) would favor another Trujillo type to come in and make a clean sweep of these criminals? Sort of cleaning out a house that hasn't been lived in for over a couple of years in the DR.
Personally, I would favor another Trujillo type minus his diabolical excesses. Candelier should be re-instated with his death squads to take the crucible of truth to these criminals. With him there, the thugs become the prey and not the predators.
Death and Frog have forwarded a plan which on the surface is excellent but to implement it would take time. In the interim, many precious lives would be lost.
