Fuel surcharge "Announced"

Today one of the Canadian tour operators announced a $100 fuel surcharge effective June 20th for bookings of all-inclusive vacations departing Nov 1st, 2006 onwards for the winter travel season. This fuel surcharge will inevitably be followed by other tour operators and airlines.

Which tour operator?

You are right about the rest of them adding it on. If they can add extra surcharge, they will ALL jump at it!

Just another cash grab from the airlines. They know very well that comsumers have no choice but to pay this fee if they wish to travel at the busiest time of year. Maybe they should'nt say anything about a fuel charge, and just add it to the price of the package. We'd never know the difference.
