I am wondering if anyone knows of any Equestrian facilties that have jumping or dressage in/near the Capital. I am coming in a few months for 6 weeks and would like to be able to ride while I am there. Please let me know if anyone has horses or rides at a stables. Thank you.

In the capital, ask at the Feria Ganadera on the Malecon, near the Nunez de Caceres turnoff.

I know very little about horseriding but I think it's got what you're looking for. If not, there will be people there who can give you more information. There are stables and riding areas there.

The Malecon (Avenida George Washington/30 de mayo) is the city's seafront avenue. Travelling westwards, the Feria Ganadera is on the right just before the intersection with Nunez de Caceres Avenue. Difficult to miss.

There are at least two riding clubs that i know of in Santo Domingo.
At least that is what i see in the papers.
This guy Haché, Kalil Haché's son, has one.

Off the top of my head there's:

For jumping and dressage:

Centro Ecuestre Las Colinas
Escuderia Ierromazo
Centro Ecuestre Nitram (Martin Hache, located behind Carrefour)
Palmarejo (where the PanAm games took place)
Ares Nacionales (Villa Mella)

And in the Feria Ganadera you've got from Reining to jumpingo to Paso Finos.

There are a few more but I can't remember their names right now... Some of these centers have international riders so you'll be able to find good instructors and good horses.

Have fun!
