My immediate family originates from the island of Antigua. My uncle's family has roots in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, however, since his death two years ago, we have found out that he is not the only one. In the last 10 years, I've found out that I have other family members of Dominican descent.
I am not really surprised, considering Antigua is not that far from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are in between. Are there any members who are of Antiguan descent Antiguans of Dominican descent on this forum?
