I am traveling to DR the first week of febuary and am wondering if it is too early for whale watching in Samana Bay. Also any information on Casa Marina Reef in Sosua would be appreciated.
No, you are on time. Whale-watching began, today 15 January. Note that your hotel is about four hours from Samana, so it will be an all day excursion. Have not been to the Casa Marina Reef, but just this weekend heard comments on the lovely views that can be seen from this hotel.
