I've traveled to DR several times, so much I feel like a local in some parts. I know shop keepers by their first names and they know me.
I'm going to Punta Cana for the first time. I know, I know! Yes, been to DR a lot and never wanted to go there. I can eat buffet food and talk to New Yorkers at home, but this time I am bringing my fiancée and two other couples who wants to vacation at an AI.
I am more familiar with Santo Domingo and its surrounding cities, but not so much with the East coast.
We are planning 8 days 7 nights. Plenty of time for a few all day trips (one being Santo Domingo), but I'd like some other cities to take my fiancée and friends so I don't go nuts at the AI everyday.
Yes I know they'll have day trips offered at the resort, but I'd like to get feedback here before I find out it was a waste of time or not what we would expect.
