Hi,just got back from the Central Bank.Best offer was 16% for 30 months.Anyone expect this rate to go up or down any time soon?Good or bad time to invest for 30 months?
Thanks
it is good rate but a period of time is a little too long, if you can get the same for 24 months would be better.
few months ago the rates were 14%.
other banks offer 6 to 11%, depending on the ammount of money you are willing to invest.
if you have a substantial amount of money to invest it should be negotiable? I think you can go for example to RUSA in puerto plata, were they change dollars and give small loans. Probably they will pay the same for only a year or more, I think you should give a try and talk to them first to see what they can offer and negotiate. Hope it helps!
Just bear in mind that RUSA may not always want to accept deposits - it depends on their demand for loans, so don't take it personally if they say 'no'.
