Greeting everyone,

Is anyone familiar with Barrio Hazim, San Pedro de Macoris?

In our quest for an affordable rental($1500/month or less) for 2 months
we discovered a 3 BR 2 bath 4th floor apartment in this area.
From the photo's it looks like a great neighborhood.

Is Barrio Hazim conveniently located to transportation, markets, and the beach? Is this a desirable area to live in?

Thanking you in advance.

There is no beach in San Pedro.....you have to go either to Juan Dolio or Playa Cumayasa for the beach.
Can't give you info on Barrio Hazim as I'm not familiar with where it is in SP.

If there is a good place to live in San Pedro de Macoris... Barrio Hazim is the one. That is where more or less rich dominicans live. Supermarket Jumbo is nearby . To campare to other parts of San Pedro is the best neighborhood to live in.

Ok....didn't realize the name of the barrio near Jumbo was Barrio Hazim.
Yes it is one of the best areas in San Pedro, keeping in mind there is NO beach in SP.
However Juan Dolio is a short 15-20 minutes away or you can head to Cumayasa or Bayahibe in the other direction.
If you have a car either will do....by guagua (bus) Juan Dolio is closer and easier to get to!
