Taxi from Punta Cana to Higuey

Does anyone know how much it should cost to take a taxi from Punta Cana to Higuey? Thanks.

We asked at the Paradisus Punta Cana and were told it would be RD$600 per one way. Very expensive. This is less than a 40 minute drive, depending on the hotel from where you will leave. Other hotel taxis may charge you more or less. You would be better off to rent a car.

Why don't you take the guagua (small public bus) about 15 pesos one way.

I travelled by bus from plaza Bavaro to Higuey last December, it cost 20 pesos per way.. The bus stop in Plaza Bavaro (just at the door of Fiesta Resort) and before that, in the door of other resorts (Melia Tropical is one...). Ask information in your hotel, no problem... It's very safe to travel by bus, and of course, much more cheaper....!!!!
