STI to Cabarete

I am flying into Santiago instead of POP and heading to Cabarete. I haven't been able to confirm how long it takes to drive from STI to Cabarete. Can anyone tell me?

The problem is the Santiago traffic. Once you are out of the city, it takes less than an hour to get there. Add an additional 20 minutes to get out of the city, so estimate about 1:20, probably less.

Your best bet is to hire JJ or some other taxi service (Welcome To Paradise Transportation)

they offer excellent, efficient and safe service to the North Coast. TO get to Cabarete takes about 1 1'2 hours.

If you rent from Universal Car Rental in Cabarete, they will meet you at STI and drive you back to Cabarete - no extra charge. Same applies for your return flight. I have done this four times now and never had a problem with them. Considering that a cab costs about US$80 each way, it's like getting two days rental for free.

Sory, that should read "four days rental free" based on the avg. rate for a small jeepeta (CRV or Vitara).
