if i am interested in doing bachata/merengue /salsa.. what would be a better town to stay in sosua,cabarete,puerto plata? i know there used to be a bar in cabarete with bachata/merengue club but it was not there the last time i was there ..so which town offers more of that music for dancing .i see more disco's now with reggetone /hip hop .any suggestions?

Try Tipico Azucar in Monetellano...right on the highway between Puerto Plata and Sosua...huge place catering mostly to locals...definitely not a reggaeton/hip hop spot.

i was more looking for places that play that kind of music ..i know alot of the clubs are hip hop and reggetone ...is there more bachata/merengue clubs/bars in sosua or puerto plata or cabarete ?
