If I were you I would try it and if you can't cross, coming back to La Mata and going the other way (Through Las Guaranas) you would have only lost about 20 minutes...

Hi, i think the bridge your talking about its the one over the Camu river, and if it is, i heard that it has been repaired.

when i travel to those ^municipios^ i always go via San Francisco de Macoris
only 1 hour and 45 minutes with light traffic on the highway ..
