Hey,
I was wondering if any of the DR regs know if stores sell soy or rice milk?
My travel companion cannot have any dairy and we're wondering about alternatives for coffee?? can't miss out on DR coffee that's for sure.

She is strict vegan....(which I know may be tricky in the DR). We'll be on North Coast. Maybe supermercado in POP? THanks!

Soy milk is definitely available in the main supermarkets and health food shops in the bigger cities. I've also seen mentions here on DR1 of it being available at the Puerto Plata and/or Sosua supermarkets - do a search here to double-check.
Just in case you can't find it, why not bring some powdered soya milk from home?
Anyway, the best way to enjoy DR coffee is strong and black. Soy milk would ruin it! :)
