My "vote" would be for you to consider selling your furniture.....

My experience is that people in the DR like to have their "hands on the item" when they are buying furniture.
However, I also see a lot of custom mahogany furniture sales where a 50% (or some deposit) is made with final payment upon final approval and delivery of the furniture....but of course the furniture makers are here in the country.
