At the end of December I'm traveling to the DR for 10 days, and would like to talk with someone locally about some things. Tours, looking for a business venture partner in the DR, etc.

This forum "Dominicans Abroad" may if fact set you up with the possibility of a face to face meeting with some Dominicans but I would also suggest that you use the rest of the board for obtaining answers to some of your questions.
Also we have a large number of threads dealing with almost every aspect of Dominican life. On the blue bar at the top of your screen just right of center you will see the word 'Search'. Just click on that and type the word or words that have to do with your question click go and a number of threads will appear that contain the words of your search.
I invite you to use our board to search around and read that which or many members have posted about life here in our little paradise.
