Hi Catherine, We just got back from Dorado Club, a wonderful 2 week stay. The resort is very nice, food is great and the staff are friendly and cheerful. The resort is going to be closed for 3 weeks after Easter (for sure this time) for 3 weeks for a much needed renovation. The Italian Restaurant will become the grand entrance and the buffet will move to the building where the front desk is now. They will also be adding 2 new restaurants between buildings 7 and 8 that will feature Bar-be-que food, (steaks etc) and the other side will feature Italian fare. Pizza, Lasagna, spaghetti, etc. Poolside will have a grill area for burgers and things. This is more info than you probably are interested in...sorry We booked a Jeep Safari at the pool with Pedro..(a really nice guy) That was really a blast!! We also had a day on a catamaran that was really a great experience. They take you to Sosua to snorkel and swim and you get all the beer and rum you want and lunch is included also. One lady in our group did the scuba diving (she's in her 60s) the only brave one. She came back raving about it.
