It's called the Coral bean tree in English.
I never heard that.
My mother, queen of everything that grows from the earth and self proclaimed English mistress, always called them Flamboyans.
Now I have something to hold over her...;
Pffftt.
The day I know more than her.........:chinese:

PS: Just Googled it.
It is not the same tree.
No wonders Mommy called it a Flamboyan.
She's always right.

Individual flowers in amapola are bigger and flamboyan has big groups of them and the color is more orange (or I think maybe yellows, too)
