Has anyone stayed there? How about Hideaway Beach?

I traveled on the southeast coast two years ago, and now I'm excited to check out the Cabarete/Sosua area. I'm looking for a place to stay that is inexpensive, friendly, and in a good location (near good beach and town areas). I really appreciate any suggestions! :glasses:

We stayed at Hotel Kaoba in Cabarete for one night in May. We thought it was very nice, certainly for the price, and close to the beach. But then I think most places in Cabarete are close to the beach. The pool area at the Kaoba was very quiet and beautiful. The rooms in the main building are clean and adequate, the cheaper villas in the garden area a lot more basic.

Hideaway beach is about 1/2way between Sosua and Caberete and hence not close (walking distance) to either and would require transportation of some sort to get to town.

We've stayed at Kaoba many times. It's safe, clean and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. For the money you can't beat it.
