I am currently trying to get my U.S. Citizenship. I need a copy of the divorce law in the DR concerning custody of minor children in 1979. My parents were divorced in the DR, but were currently living in the US with green cards. My mother later gained her own US citizenship and I am trying to obtain mine through her since I was a minor child at the time. The divorce papers we have don't show her as having custody so I am searching for the divorce law/custody at that time. I currently reside in the U.S. if you could give me direction on where I could locate a legitimate copy of the law at that time, it would be appreciated.
