Anybody that can explain how it works... or not works.

An old car with an insurance (not full) crash into a parked new car with insurance (full) because the old car has to avoid crashing into motoconios on racing day... I guess the insurance for the old car is supposed to cover the damages on the new car, right? Or maybe not here...

What is the procedure? What to d and not to do?

Any input or/and experiences are appreciated.

Both drivers must go to the local police and make a report of the incident. This is obligatory.
A few days later you both have to pick up copies of the report and turn them in to your respective insurance companies.
they are supposed to take it from there. supposedly, the new car with "full coverage" will pay for the repairs and try to collect from the old car's "seguro de ley" with its limited liability...

Good luck...
