Anyone heading the Holiday Villiage in January 4 to the 18 that wanna get together and head out to the clubs cause i am going with someone but they cant go out in the evening cause she is working there! So I will be out to the clubs by myself :ermm: so anyone want to go clubbing PM me!!

Thanks for the Grammatical corrections!!!

Also for the Geographical corrections. You guys and gals rock it out! But anyways back to my thread looking to meet people in the Dominican Republic!!! At the Holiday Village Golden Beach Resort... I know I will meet some people there, from past experience at these resort destinations, but I have also met a few good people online before I went down!! Thanks for the replies people I love you!!!!

Clubs

Is there any Foam Party Clubs there? 22 and 23 years old. Which clubs would you choose.. I havent been there yet so i dont know what is good or not

I will just go ahead and show my age: what the heck is a Foam Party Club???

In Playa Dorada you have 4 clubs: From what I think will be your best choice to last.....

Mangu - at the new Holiday Place Hotel and Casino (your hotel) - open from 10 pm to ??? 7 days a week. It is a big club and the place to go right now in Playa Dorada. They play a lot of reggaeton, hip hop and techno with a little bit of latin music every so often. It is full of your age group.

Roadway - just behind Playa Dorada plaza. Smaller then Mangu but they usuallly have a theme party on Saturday nights. Same music as Mangu.

Hemingways - in Playa Dorada Plaza. More of a restaurant but morphs into a club at night. A little more variety of music and they have karaoke and theme parties.

Crazy Moon - I have not been there in ages. It is part of Paradise Hotel, smaller then Mangu, pretty much the same types of music and crowd.

If you want real Latin music you pretty much have to leave Playa Dorada but it sounds like these will more then make you happy.

A Foam Party is almost like a BIG BUBBLE bath with out the water but for some reason you still get wet.. i think its the sweat. LOL just kidding.
They have big Cannons on the roof that shoot out suds. its really Bubbly LOL

If you want to come and join us your more then welcome.

Is there any beach bars that you would recommend with good deals or happy hours specials.

there is also another thing i would like to ask about Tours. There is a place i believe is called Mels tours umm some from here told me about that. Do you know if it good deal to go there or somewhere else?

You are very welcome and you never know I just might join you. But if you want a real Dominican experience then you need to come with me! I will take you where the locals go drinking and dancing. NO american music there, all latin with a few reggaetons you would recognize.

No beach bars near there except the ones for each resort. Your all inclusive will have a beach bar! Its a happy hour special all day long.....LOL

Foam party - I will have to ask at Mangu if they do them. FIrst I have ever heard of one.... but it sounds like it could be fun....

Tours - yes I know Mel tours but they are in Sosua. I recommend Miguel at Playa Dorada Plaza. He works for a large company, I"ll be happy to send you his phone number.

how far of a commute is playa dorado from cabarete? Last year we went to cabarete, and were content with partying there at night ( and dont take our rental car out at night). But from what I am hearing it seams like playa dorada is more of the night spot to be these days with the new restrictions, any feedback on the validity of this statement and how feesible it is to get back and forth b/t the two?

P.s. we will be stayin in a villa in the west end of cabarete

Cabarete has its hot spots too, so don't worry. I just don't go there at night so I am not sure of what is hot now.

Cabarete is about a 40 minute drive. At night it can be dangerous. Just my opinion but I would not want to be making that drive!

Well maybe we should bring the party to your villa then???!!!

foam parties, is it only a Miami thing? in Playa Dorada they might through some smoke and disco lights, hahahah. They should definitly do foam parties in the DR!!! those would be lots of fun.

Forgot to answer the rest of your question:

It is not hard to get from Cabarete to Playa Dorada.

You can take a carro publico (local taxi on a route) but need to take one from Cabarete to Sosua and another from Sosua to Playa Dorada.

You could also find a taxi to take you every time you want to go and sit and wait to take you back home! This is more expensive but really more convenient.

I do NO recommend getting a rental car and driving this at night, especially after partying.

yeaa, we will have a rental to get around to surf, and adventure to waterfalls and other amazing things during the day, but we always park the car before it gets dark, do the motoconches still ride at night? how much you think to get back and forth during the night?


... and yea there might be some partying goin down at our villa, ( which is beachside)

Thanks again for the info, I think I will enjoy the DR as much as I enjoy all of the other places I've been from the sounds of it!! But I would like to enjoy the true Dominican Republic experience, smaller bars and clubs are a lot of fun from previous experience!! Sweet As. I would be glad to take you out for a drink for the info you have provided!! Cheers!
