Daisy (branches in Gazcue, and on Paseo de los Locutores) is quite well-known.
The Make-up Center on the 3rd Floor of Bella Vista Mall, despite its name is a hair and beauty salon.
The truth is that most places are good, and there are hundreds to choose from. Just go to any mall and take your pick.

Time and Money...

At Daisy or any mall salon, are appointments typically made in advance? Also, what's the cost (hair, nails, make-over?)

Thanks,
Helpmann :)

Daisy has a website, so you could phone them and find out.

The mall places, unless it's a Friday afternoon or a Saturday, are usually OK to just walk in.

Costs vary - the high-class places could set you back thousands for the package, the standard ones will give you change for RD$1000 - at least for the hair and nails. Some places even have specials on quiet days. Go to a mall like Bella Vista and check out the options.

It also depends what you mean by makeover. As you'll see on the Daisy site they offer all sorts of delights.

Another one is Virginia Spa - but that's beauty treatments, not hair.
