Renovation Paradise Hotel Playa Dorada???

Hi
Friends of mine always stay at the Amsha Marina Paradise Beach and Casino hotel in Playa Dorada - Puerto Plata. In november when I was in Playa Dorada there where some rumours that the Paradise would be closing for renovation early 2007 for a couple of months.
They want to go for the month of May - 2007 but do not want to stay at any other hotel. The travel company can not tell them anything in this moment, but they are afraid to book now and ending up in a different hotel, when it would be closed in May for renovation.

Does anyone know more about a possible renovation from this hotel?

Hi there,

I just returned from Paradise Beach hotel. We tried finding out some information, but were only told that nothing is for sure.

Apparently they will be renovating starting in April/07 and it will take about 6 months (which I wouldn't count on).

Once again no one could confirm this so I am not sure if it is really happening or not.

My Information also is that right after Easter week, this tired old lady will be done over and made good as new.

Good Friday falls this year on April/06/07, So the reno should begin the following week as low season kicks in at this time.
