I have been reading the forum for the past two months and find it to be an amazing source of information. Some local professionals my husband and I met when we visited Punta Cana last month talked about the challenge of finding quality day care in Bavaro. In the USA there are many high quality day care options available. Such facilities offer academic, social and cultural development. We discussed the possibility of launching such a facility. My questions are as follows:
1. In the Bavaro area, is there a need for high quality day care?
2. Is so, what is the monthly fee for infants through age 6?
3. Is there a pool of degreed or certified early childhood educators in the area, as there are in Santo Domingo for example?
4. What local resources are available for consultation with regard to staffing, certifying a day care center and legal requirements?
