Caribbean Sun Airlines announced it would end flights between San Juan and Santo Domingo effective 16 January. The airline will entirely cease operations by 31 January. Passengers holding confirmed tickets after 16 Jan would be reaccommodated on alternate service operated by Cape Air, Caribbean Airlines or LIAT, according to the airline. Skip Barnette, airline CEO, explained that competition in San Juan with major US carriers expanding service to the Caribbean and offering nonstop service had diminished the demand they formerly enjoyed from connecting passengers. He explained that the local market in Puerto Rico is simply too small to sustain a profitable operation.

Another carrier to the list where they share their glory (Air Santo Domingo, Viva, Queen Air, Fina, Aeromar, Sap Express).

It seems this airline has no knowledge about airline business, they had to study the market first and to realize with whom they will compete. Passengers don't trust to these airlines, they come and go ...

That the bad thing about these airlines, no wonder that people trust much better through a legacy carrier like American, Delta, Continental, Jetblue and other popular carrier.
