I'm trying to find my family...

I was an exchange student in Sosua (how lucky?!) in 93-94 and lived with a great family. I haven't been to see them since 97 and am ready to go back soon, but don't know if they're still there. (They had no phone or email back then.)
Any suggestions?

The Escanos- Don Hector and Dona Lolin and my brother and sister Hector and Rosanna.
Hector is about 34 now and Rosanna is about 29.
Both Hectors have worked at Playa Chiquita Casino.
They lived in the apartment building behind the police station.

Not Dominican, but living in Sosua for a long time.
I'll toss the names out to a few of the employees, and see if anyone recognizes the names.
If so, I'll let you know.

Did Don Hector work for a while with the Tax Dept at the Casino(s) and is Dona Lolin a lawyer or connected with some legal working?

I don't know what Don Hector did at the casino(s), but yes, he did work at a lot of them in the area, not just Playa Chiquita. And yes, Dona Lolin is a lawyer...

I saw Don Hector about 3 weeks ago in a Sosua supermarket and usually about once every few weeks somewhere. If you want to PM me with your real name I will see if I can find him and ask him if its ok for you to phone him. (since I do not know who you are or if somebody is trying to locate him for some other reason its better that way....sorry)

You will be amazed at how different Sosua looks - it is alot nicer than when you were an exchange student there.
