September through May, same as USA, although depending on the school the children may only attend from 8am to noon, or 2pm to 6pm (approx.). There are several reasons for the shortened hours: too many children, not enough space, not enough teachers or other resources, children are needed at home to do chores, work in the fields with their parents, etc.
