Hi
I am new to this....but i am wanting to move to the dominican in September and would like to teach, i'm gona be living near puerta plata. I am wondering what type of TEFL i need to teach? does it need to be the full trinity one or can i do a weekend course? id this important? Any suggestions would really help :)

Are you a qualified teacher? TEFL and TESOL certificates arent valid everywhere as they dont really prove much. If you are relying on using that to get a job, then you probably wouldnt be able to get a job at a Private school which pays more money.

I am a qualified teacher and have just got a job at a Private school in Sosua and they require a degree and QTS.
