I keep reading about the power outages. Can I buy a propane refrigerator in DR? Do many people use them?

Why not buy an 5.0 kW inverter with 80 batteries? It will run everything in the house (except ac) for quite a while. I goes for about RD75k installed.

A good fridge of normal size will set you back about 21k.

There is a place on Restauraci?n Street, near General L?pez, that specializes in propane or kerosene or 12v fridges and freezers. Guy's name is Espaillat and they are a very old and respected family....knew his dad..
