duplicate marriage certificate needed

Hi, I got married in Juan Dolio in 1997 and I need a duplicate marriage certificate. I live in the UK. Can anyone advise me of how to do this and how much it will cost?

You need someone to go to the Registro Civil there in Juan dolio withthe EXACT DATE of your marriage. You can get a copy for a few hundred pesos + another $300 pesos to have it "legalized"in Santo Domingo

Should be available in the very 'oficina de estado de civil' where your marriage was registered.
Employ a lawyer or a friend who resides here.
