YOu will get a better exchange rate on US money then on Canadian money. IN almost all cases exchange your canadian for US money. The exception to this is if you use your bank card at the ATM machines. You withdraw pesos and get the exchange rate your bank offers, but you pay a fee to withdraw the money so factor that in.

Easiest: bring US money or travellers cheques

US dollars or traveler's checques gets you the best proportionate exchange, as do ATM withdrawals.

Some places will charge you a small fee if using traverlers checks as opposed to cash.
