Hi all I have a question. i tried doing a search couldn't really find any info. so here is my question. I planning on coming down to the DR permanently this year. I understand the requirements of obtaining permanent residency. I'm just wondering if you become a permanent resident can you apply for a DR passport? if you are a national from another country? sorry for the question. thanks for the info. cheers

In order to get a Dominican passport you need be a Dominican citizen.

You don't said which country you are going from so it's best to check with your own country about holding duel citizenship.

Check here for more info DR1 - Legal

A permanent resident and a citizen are two different things.
