This year Miss Republica Dominicana will be celebrating its 50 years. The competition is going to be held on March 23rd and here are some pictures of the candidates. I am wondering if these are all the candidates because I see that some provinces are missing ie: Espiallat. I will post later on who i think will win and who is the ugliest one. Submit your opinions and lets poll on who we think is going to take the crown this year.

well there are not good close ups of all the girls...BUT......with what i saw its a runaway fight between BAHORUCO and SANTIAGO.....

on a side note..take a look at picture # 70 of 126, and tell me about that bikini bottom......whoa. ha ha ha

I'm mad apdomini100max beat me to this thread. I was writing about Miss RD when IE crashed, anyway...It's my favorite time of the year the Miss Republica Dominicana Pageant. This year's pageant is simply amazing, alot of great candidates, better than previous years. these ladies look more like Puerto Rico than the Dominican Republic...

I had the lucky opportunity to encounter them all at a function at Ocean World a few weeks ago. They look much different in real life than in the photos posted here. Most of them are actually better looking, while some of them look worse than in the photos. The ones that stood out (for me) were Ms Santiago and Ms Duarte, the latter more so because I sat next to her at the following dinner at Sun Village.

She entertained me with quite interesting conversations (she also speaks French and English fluently).

Ms. Puerto Plata also left an impression.

I was very surprised how they carried themselves. Most of them speak English and seem very intelligent.

On March 16th, there will be the semi final function at Ocean World Marina and Casino, with free open admission.

My top 3 favorites (in no particular order) are Miss Puerto Plata, Miss Bahoruco, and Miss San Crist?bal.

Chip00, the only thing the matters is that they are Dominican, beautiful, and have a chance of actually winning. The rest is "pura caball?"
