Hello to all at DR1,

I've just returned from the DR,I traveled along the north coast and I couldn't help but notice the poor standard of interior works, carpentry, tiling etc.
I also noticed that the coast seems to be one enormous building site, especially around Cabarete.
Question is;Are there opportunities for good quality tradesmen to work in the DR?

Any information/contacts will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi

From what I understand most of the "trade" work in the DR, ( I have been told construction type), is done by Haitians who work for about $10/day. This is just what I have been told as my husband is a journeyman ( 22years) here in Canada and I inquired with a real estate as to this question and that is the response I received. Hope that helps. If I am wrong then I am sure someone will correct this response. have a great day.;)
