Moot point. Algore says sea level is gonna rise 20'.

I live in Florida on the west coast. It's laughable how many times the beaches are "renourished" at the price of millions, only to have to do it again 5 years later.

On the east coast north and south of Daytona Beach they've been experimenting with installing groins in the beaches. These groins capture the sand and keep it from migrating off the beaches. They seem to be working. However, the past few years have seen three major hurricanes that pounded the east coast and literally wiped out a number of beaches. My hometown of Daytona Beach lost over 300' of beach width on most of our 23 miles long "World's Most Famous Beach." There is now no driving on much of the beach at high tide as the water is now all the way up to the motel seawalls.
