Are there any Military Retirees living in DR? Other than cost of living what benefits does DR offer? Are you able to use Tricare there? Thanks

There is no PX. You pay for your health care and have to submit for reinbursement. But you can have a great life and live better then in the US. Depending on what you need.

There are a few here if you included retired for medical purposes too. I get a monthlt stipend for a back injusry and it covers the phone bill and my daughters monthly tuition.

If you retired w/20 years like my brother you probably make enough to live here comfortably - even if you have to buy a house.

Admitted to Centro Medico in POP twice in last 3 years. Both times four day stays. Hospital billed Tricare For Life both times direct. First time Tricare paid 80% and second time 75%.
