Does anybody know if there is a link to the Aduanas website that will tell someone how to calculate the amount of tariff they will charge for a vehicle?

Also, does anybody know the if law prohibiting the importation of cars over 5 years old would include motorcycles as well?

I would like to know the 5 year rule also. Have a 2002 Harley I would like to bring in a couple years.

If someone actually finds the right section and can decipher it, could you post the tariff/tax table so we can have a set answer to this question and be able to calculate the total fees for any given vehicle, once and for all?

Go to:
Dirección General de Aduanas - RD

Enter make, model and year and press "Buscar"

Press "Calcular" for correct model.

Look at "Estimado Impuestos a Pagar" for the amount owed in pesos.

Thanks! Just did that, definitely answers alot of these questions that keep coming up... does anyone have any experience with the accuracy of that estimate?
