Hotel in Puerto Plate

I just joined this forum, so if I am not posting in the right place forgive me.
I am going to be in Puerto Plata next month and am looking for a decent hotel in POP not one of the all inclusive deals but preferably right in town sine I have some business to attend to.
Any help would be appreciated

Are we talking Puerto Plata province or city?
