how hot for how long?

I'm moving to Santo Domingo in July, which I hear is the hot season. Just how hot does it get, and for how many months? And how bad is the humidity? I was there last month, and there was a lovely breeze off the ocean. Does this not help temper the heat? Thanks for any info.

It never gets that hot in Santo Domingo. Say a maximum of 33 degrees celsius at the worse. And yes, there is almost always a breeze that helps temper the heat. Summer usually lasts from June through September/October. By November it starts cooling off, which means temperature drops to about 25 degrees celsius in the early morning. Freezing cold for Dominicans is 18 degrees celsius.
