corrupt cops

Are the cops who ask you for money a big deal? I pretty much blend in when I go to DR b/c I speak fluent Spanish and I'm morena, so most people assume I'm Dominican. So...since I don't look foreign, should I still be concerned about the corrupt cops? I dont plan on driving either, only public transpo.

you may have touched on a rather inventive twists to the standard over time pay for police in the dr!!!!

you must be silenced immediatley, lest the poor hordes of public transportation users will be at the mecry of the guaga boarding populace serving police....looking to take the LAST 5 pesos from the people who need them the most. ha ha ha ha

damm thats like netting a school of fish on one fell swoop... like a "captive" audience ha ha ha
