DR doesn't have an air conditioning industry, so my bet is that it's either completely tariff exempted or at worst you should be able to save half in the amount of tariffs you would otherwise be charged.

Trane A/Cs?? Where manufactured?

I did some reseach on large A/C units. Anything made by Trane is @ 200% of the price of those of any other manufacturers. Is Trane's quality really this superior? I suspect that nearly all A/Cs, regardless of brand are manufactured in China, or Asia. Is DR-CAFTA applicable to American branded goods manufactured in China, etc.?

Trane ACs

Are Trane the best AC's? I went to their site and could not see "made in USA" anywhere. Someone told me that they were assembled in the USA. Does that qualify for the DR-CAFTA tax break?
