DR law states you must wait 10 months to remarry after divorce is finalized if you are a woman ..(some places state Dominican woman)

This is a very outdated law pertaining to paternal questions or something (if the women gets pregnant right after divorce and remarrys there won't be any questions as to who the father is ??? ) correct me if I am wrong please :ermm:

but she can remarry the husband she just divorced

are there any exceptions to this:

eg:

US Citizen (female) that married in US and divorced in DR?

Proof of separation date (court papers stating separation) or previously submitted divorce petition in a US court?

will I have a problem if I wanted to get married in DR?

I know in NY there is no waiting period so I wouldn't have a problem here

I (British) got married to a Dominican 3 months after my divorce. No problems, but the judge asked for extra money the day before the wedding!!!
