can anyone tell me what the average price is on a box of monti cristo blanco cigars.i found a shop in boca chica that had 'em for $200 u.s.i know that has to be too steep of a price.

Absolutely. We are fortunate enough to have a JR's here in D.C. It's where I buy all of my cigars. And the website is great.
Keep in mind that you will probably pay more for premium Dominican cigars in the Dominican Republic than, practically, anywhere else. This is because they export most of the premium brands, and then import them for sale.
I bring my own cigars with me if I plan on smoking while in the DR.

Go to Santo Domingo and check out the prices at Nacional Supermarket for one or the cigar shoppe in the Hotel Jaragua. while higher than JR for example, at least you will get the real thing.
