Hi,,Info request
I will be traveling in mid June to Sosua, I am a single male looking for some serious R/R and a guest or guests to spend some quality time and sightseeing with. Seeking info on a great 4-5 star hotel and rent a car..Is Sosua where I want to be for this venture?
Thanks

4 or 5 star hotels will not be guest friendly.
Here are 3 to check out that are very good.

Casa Valeria's website is down. Phone number is 809-571-3565

If you want to go a bit more luxurious, you can get condos as well.

If you are going to stay in Sosua you will not need a car. There are plenty of hotels right around where your R & R will be taking place. You will also be easy walking didtance to the beach.

Rocky...you are the expert...but if this is his first time down to Sosua then it might be best to meet some ex-pats at the local hangouts and get a tour from them.....many are happy to supplement their retirement or existance with a few beers , gas, and a lunch. On the otherhand there are many wonderful sights right in Sosua!

I do know Sosua well, but hardly an expert on what a suits a person best.
Certainly a car is not necessary, but if the OP feels like taking off with a new found lady friend, and go exploring the North coast, a car gives you the ultimate freedom.
I've noticed that a lot of single male tourists are renting cars these days, even if they don't intend on exploring.
They toot around town, go to POP, Cabarete, the disco, the casino, etc, and avoid motoconchos.
Mostly, it's the budget traveler who takes public transport.
Those with a bit more cash to spare, do seem to like to have a car.
