I realise this is your first post so I'll be very very gentle. 
If you look above to the name of the forum it is called Employment. This means people looking for or offering employment do so in this forum, so your post may not get seen by people who could help you with accommodation. Maybe repost in Travel - North Coast? And when you say 'live with the locals' remember that covers a range of accommodations from fairly poor barrios to middle class homes to a couple of areas where rich Dominicans live, so perhaps you could specify a bit more what it is you are looking for?
