hardware stores in Puerto Plata

Is there such a thing as a hardware store in Puerto Plata? I haven't noticed any Wal Marts or Canadian Tire stores the last few times I have been there. I am looking to possibly purchase a portable cooler/refrigerator while I am visiting. Any chance of finding such a thing without it costing an arm and a leg????:paranoid:

No we don't have Walmarts or Canadian Tire Stores........whatever next. :laugh: Hardware stores we do have - Deposito Ferreteria for example (near baseball stadium), or try furniture stores like Distribudora Gonzalez (Parque central) or even Supermercado Messon. Pricewise your best bet is probably Santiago.

I saw a portable - plug in - cooler on my last trip to Santiago. It was in pricesmart. NOt ever seen one in Puerto Plata.

There are lots and lots of hardware stores here in Puerto Plata - just not one like a Canadian Tire that carries everything imaginable....
