we are traveling for the second time to the DR and are planning to fly into punta cana and pick a friend of ours up(our personal tourguide and super friend) and drive to santa domingo. my wife and i have rci and are wondering about the acuarium suite resort at which we can use our free week. our dominican friend said this was not a good place to stay. i think he is knowledgable of santa domingo but would like any input from another person familiar with the city and area. our biggest concern is safety, the accomodations are not as important as we will have a rental car anf hope to spend much of our time sightseeing. any advice would be appreciated..thx
