We have tropical weather threads that keep us updated, but thanks.

Chris does a great job of letting us know what is happening with as much inforamation as possible.

This storm is still far away and lots can happen in the next few days.

Its not time to panic.

The storm is way out in the ocean and the projections are now aiming towards the DR. Just yesterday the projections were aiming to Puerto Rico and before that the projections had the storm missing the entire archipelago.

Chances are that the storm will continue on the course westward and as that happens, the projection of where it will go will continue to move further west and west from the DR.

Of course, the projection and where it will actually go are two completely different things and only one of the two actually counts, but be aware that projections such as the one currently being done have to be taken lightly, based on the distance between the DR and the storm right now.

Having said that, the DR is statistically overdue in being hit by a major storm, so maybe this is the one, but chances are it won't be.

The key to this lies on the timing of the storm shifting its trajectory westward towards a northwestern one.

I think this storm will remain to the south of the DR and much of the DR will be subjected to rain and along the southern coast some rough surf and some wind. But let's wait and see how things develop.
