We have some English friends coming in on a cruise ship to Samana in November... how long would it take us to drive to Samana from Sabaneta? Is there reasonably priced accommodation where we could stay for 2 nights which you would recommend? All suggestions welcome.

three hours....most of the potholes have now been filled so it doesnt take as long as it used to

No, leave for UK 21st September for maximum of a month so will be back by November.
