Just thought I would let anyone who may be interested know that Round 2 of the Campeonato Nacional de Motovelocidad will be taking place the weekend of Sept 22 - 23 in Santiago.

Unfortunatly there is some un-resolved problems with the new ownership of Autodromo Las Americas and the championship had been put on hold since the first round in April - however the organizers have now decided to move forward and have scheduled RD 2 - to take place on a track made at the airport in Santiago!

I'll be racing along with my Team Moto Butler team mates, as well many other very talented racers that will for sure make for some really exciting racing!

Hope to see some of you there!!

Racergirl,
Do you mean the old airport or the new one? I can't imagine where they'd race around the new one, but who knows..........I'm actually glad the race moved from SDQ, more
centrally located.........race on!!

Yeah - it's at the old airport. Apparently they can make a pretty good race track layout. Im slightly nervous! hehe. Im in second place in the championship - and I NEED to win this round!!!

Im not sure how all this is going to take place - with the race not being at Las Americas. But Im assuming it will be the same format as usual - with qualifying on Saturday and race day Sunday.

Thanks for the good luck wishes Ricardo! Planner I SO hope you can make it!!! And Tflea it would be awesome if you could make it as well. Make sure to come and find me and say hi - I'll be pitted with the Moto Butler Racing Team (green bikes - # 1 Franklyn Dominguez, #24 Deivi Martinez and #55 me)

haha!! They do have a scooter class!!! The first time i saw a guy get his knee on the ground in jeans I nearly fainted! Nice bike! I love my Honda's....but the GSXR750 I race in RD is SWEEEET. The bike is tuned and dialed in to perfection. I have the best team!

Mr. Lu - Im not sure of any schools, but I can put you touch with some of the best sport bike riders in the country that I am quite sure would be more then happy to give you some lessons.

Racegurl, that would be awesome! I love bikes, but had an accident a few years ago and never got the nerve to get back on one. If you could put me in touch with people who'd be willing to teach that'd be great. They should know before hand I have noooo experience!!! Wouldn't want them to get frustrated with a guy who's new at this.

By the way nice bike, what year is it? have you had a chance to race other super bikes? whats your favorite. R1, R6, Hayabusa, Dukes, Ninja, etc....

**Update**

Due to safety concerns with the track in Santiago, ADOMOTO (the race association) decided to move the race to Autodromo Las Americas in Santo Domingo. The race will still take place on the 22nd and 23rd of this month...and I hope some of you can still make it out!!

Keith - I hope this wont be too far for you to come. Give me a call when you get here and let me know so I can arrange for your press passes and hotel.
